American Century Investments

After the company systematically took too much money from my checking each year for two years to put into my wife's ira, They finally paid back the overages.  They took double the legal limit with out considering the individual will be hit up with the penalties when the overage is paid back.  So the accountant we use to do the taxes suggested they remove 10% for the fed tax and 5%for the state of Kansas.  Today they send a letter saying they only paid the fed.  Now we owe possible state estimate tax due to their stupidity.  Thank goodness we can move this over to Vanguard who has a concierge service that will prevent American Century's continual bumbling ways.  The letter today of course we got on Saturday and they do not have folks in the office to learn of their error.  Their latest error.

Before there was a God there were Gods

I recall graduation service I went to a couple of years ago.  In it there was a reading where it said something about before this named character there was this named character and on and on and on.  The list was long, real long.  I guess some one had the ability to come up with a family tree long before the computer and the internet.  I'd even believe back then people were as smart as today.  Lately I been thinking that I have a genetic thing going on that is generally associated with a smal opulation of a religious group.  That group contains all those names of who came before who.  My thinking that i am not from the small sect directly the gene came before the sect and those gene owners seemed to mate with similar religious.  The gene predates the religion and matings and so predates God.  I do not understand how God exists before folks who came before those who came before and she or who came originally.  The anomaly predates God that is documented as the one who first came before.  And who was documented before God were the Gods.  The if then responsible for what must have been the cause.

It seems to me I have not really done anything worth while in this lifetime for me to smile about and now trying to catch up. I believe I can support every one having health insurance. I am sure it will cost something until folks start to make things more efficient and price will go down. Perhaps funding things like other folks detox and rehab might portend to be not so good an investment , but then anyone needing such treatment suggests the folks have a dopamine/serotonin imbalance and that is a legitimate health expense.
What we need is health care police. I bet some one might find out how to get rich by dubious means just like the insurance companies. In fact my contribution might be to support the removal of health insurance. At the same time have doctors publish their fees for service. That way people can choose to go to a doctor with low overhead costs. Make health care ultra capitalistic. Doctors can be contractors and publish their successful outcomes. A provider may say you need a colon removal and at a specific cost. The provider contracts anesthesia, room, recovery, lab, pharm. publish the cost and patient choose price he is willing to pay in light of doctors published history. A handshake and signature later deals done. The unexpected is negotiated after the fact. A patient after procedure says "I feel great and I feel well enough to pay half doctors published fee to have removed the gall bladder" They negotiate and all is made whole. Now lets say folding insurance companies adds three percent unemployment. That is not so bad as people will write resumes and join the people applying for jobs. This time they might find legitimate employment.

old leaves something to be desired

...and so does retirement. The positive is of course sleeping. Soon may be able to sleep eighteen hours a day. This saves ingesting calories and of course the money.
